Here it is, flaming red against the white of the snow. The 2023 Ducati was presented in Madonna di Campiglio for the next MotoGP World Championship, in which the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer is challenged to defend the three titles it won last season: Riders, with Pecco Bagnaia, Teams and Manufacturer. The Desmosedici GP23 was unveiled against the backdrop of the Brenta Dolomites, the weapon to retain the scepter entrusted to an all-Italian dream team.
In fact, alongside the reigning world champion Pecco Bagnaia, who will have the number 1 of the record on the windscreen instead of his classic 63, Enea Bastianini, the newcomer from the Gresini team, will form a pair that is as strong as it is explosive. They will always be led by the triad made up of the brilliant general manager of Ducati Corse, Gigi Dall’Igna, sporting director Paolo Ciabatti and team manager Davide Tardozzi.
Fame and catwalk also for the Superbike team, which in turn monopolized the world championship for near-series derivatives with the rider-team-manufacturer triplet and the crown of the Spaniard Alvaro Bautista, also with the number 1 on the new Panigale V4R. Says Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati: “It’s an exciting day because we’re celebrating a special 2022 in which we’ve had a crazy en plein with the three titles in both MotoGP and Superbike and also extraordinary with over 60,000 motorcycles sold for the company – said Domenicali -: we therefore present ourselves with great solidity and the will to continue this path also in 2023″.
