AD signs his renewal in Los Angeles: At 62 million a season, he gets the richest three-year deal ever
Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers still together: The eight-time All-Star and 2020 NBA champion has signed the contract extension that ties him to the Yellow-Violet through 2027-28. The deal will net Davis $186 million over the next three years, earning him an average of $62 million per season, his highest annual earnings ever, and surpassing the $60.8 million a year Jaylen Brown just made with the Celtics . The numbers don’t lie: When Davis is on form, he’s one of the best NBA players on both sides of the field, crucial on offense and defense, as demonstrated in the last few playoffs. The unknown, as always, is physical strength: If he stays intact, he will be able to join LeBron in an attempt to bring the title back to Los Angeles after the success in the Orlando bubble.
