Pineto secures Argentina’s Felipe Benavìdez

PINETO (TERAMO)-Abba Pineto strengthens the top flight by bringing Argentinian Felipe Benavìdez into the blue and white squad.
THE CAREER-
Born in 1997, 194 cm tall and with a Portuguese passport, Felipe Benavídez started playing for Ferro Carril Oeste at the age of 9. After three seasons with the Amigos, he moved to Ciudad de Buenos Aires, where he made his Argentinian league debut in 2013/14 and played for several seasons. He also wore the jerseys of Libertad Burgi and Obras de San Juan in the championship. In 2015, he captained the Argentina national team that finished runners-up at the U19 World Cup. In 2020, Felipe flew from his country to commit to Rotogal Boiro, the Spanish SuperLiga. Two championships between the Galicians and then the switch between the French team Le Plessis and Robinson, still in the first division. In between, precisely in April 2022, Felipe was training with Lube Civitanova to complete the squad following Juantorena’s injury. For the South American, it is thus the third European nation to choose ABBA to make its official debut in Italy and contribute to the Pinesas cause.
THE WORDS OF FELIPE BENAVÌDEZ–
“I’m excited to join this team and be able to compete in Serie A2, which I know is at the highest level.” I’m excited to start and I’m hoping to take Pineto as high as possible. This is one of my goals, along with being able to grow in Italy, a country I have always liked ».
