Sports with disabilities and digital: a new way
Manage everything related to sport in one click through Sportech solutions that can be used with any type of device and operating system. Applications that not only make it easier to manage the various activities, but also make new tools available. Sporteams, a Florentine startup founded by Luca Bassilichi, is dedicated to the development of new digital tools to support the world of sport, taking into account disabilities.
“Digital is not only important for future projection,” he explains Luca Bassilichi, General Manager of Sportteams – but also for the practical help that apps can bring. Sporteams’ will is to provide tools to make sport even more accessible. In particular, we have started a collaboration with the Menarini Red Foxes and are making the Sporteams Club App available free of charge. “The application is particularly useful,” he continues bassilichi – also for a specific feature that is one of the main reasons for this synergy: the presence of the fan profile in the app. In fact, the possibility of involving and engaging the community, also in the digital sphere, thanks to the possibility for each user to create a fan profile and follow the team, not only represents a great asset to unite his followers and be up to date to keep, but also
also to expand their community”.
“The history of the Menarini red foxes begins in 2005 – explains Ivano Nuti, President of Volpi Rosse Menarini – in a bar of a tennis club with some acquaintances when, after a basketball player had an accident, we decided to found an association, at that time for social promotion, to give the opportunity to play basketball in a wheelchair and shortly afterwards also integrated sports dance”.
This is how this adventure came about, presented for the first time with an event with school and basketball children from the DLF with the participation of Luca Bassilichi, which we find today in a new common path. With Sporteams we have discovered a versatile, open app to manage everything related to sport and to join a network. Sporteams currently has almost a thousand clubs using its apps in different sports: soccer, including Serie A, women’s soccer, basketball, volleyball, rugby, hockey, figure skating, to ultimate frisbee and airsoft. The start-up has developed a digital platform with products such as Sporteams Club, Sporteams Match and Sporteams GeCo to speed up operations: from registration payments to pitch management to material
