The Beach Pro Tour Future of Messina begins
MESSINAThe second Italian Futures event of the Beach Pro Tour 2023 starts tomorrow, Thursday 29 June in Messina. After the Lecce tournament, which took place at the beginning of the month and in which Claudia Scampoli and Margherita Bianchin triumphed in the women’s draw and Davide Benzi and Carlo Bonifazi in the men’s draw, the Beachers have another concrete opportunity to score important points in the general classification to take home and thus climb further positions in the FIVB ranking.
There will be many blue pairs in the running. In the women’s draw, the fresh winners of the first gold stage of the 2023 Italian Fonzies Championship, Claudia Scampoli and Margherita Bianchin, will start as the tournament’s number ones. Also starting with them are Margherita Tega and Anna Pelloia, Reka Orsi Toth and Giada Bianchi as well as Anna Dalmazzo and Marta Bechis from the peloton. Instead, Eleonora Sestini and Erika Ditta as well as Selene Rinchiusa and Ludovica Panfili will start from qualifying.
Davide Benzi and Carlo Bonifazi are instead the number-one seeded couple in the men’s draw. Gianluca Dal Corso and Marco Viscovich, as well as Tobia Marchetto and Jakob Windisch, will also start their adventure in the peloton, blue couples who finished second and fourth respectively at last weekend’s rendezvous at the Italian circuit in Palinuro (SA); Matteo Cecchini and Mauro Sacripanti will also start in the peloton. For another four Italian couples, the tournament starts from the qualification: Davis Krumins/Manuel Alfieri, Paolo Ficosecco/Nicolò Conti, Giosuè Andronico/Federico Andronico and Gerald Ndrecaj/Franco Arezzo di Trifiletto.
